Will you take my challenge?
I’ve promised you that by reading this blog you will learn to think and act like an entrepreneur. (Or a gracious, really motivated, successful person for that matter!)
I did not become an entrepreneur for the last 30 years or so by reading about it in a book. You probably won’t either. You will learn by taking action…and that’s what this blog is all about.
It’s about doing, doing, doing.
It’s not about theoretically pondering what things might look like if you were to say, actually put some small little action into motion. Theoretically, that is.
So, here’s my challenge to you today.
Visit my archives page – click here. Look at the post titles and pick one. Chances are you’ll be subconsciously drawn to a title that might resonate with you in a small area of your brain that spins around, looks at you and says, “Yep, I could use a little movement here.”
Almost every post I’ve ever written will provide you with some sort of call to action.
And, if it’s a “thinking post”, then I challenge you to create an action or scenario where you might use this new way of thinking. A little more challenging but then, you’re up to it, I know you are.
Then, as they say, “Just do it”. Don’t over think it… don’t talk yourself out if it… don’t make up stuff that hasn’t even happened yet. Just do it.
Oh! And one other thing! Please come back and leave a comment about what you discovered about yourself. You may share something so powerful that it changes another person’s life. Someone you’ve never met before and probably never will meet. How inspiring is that?

Hi Dia,
I’m thrilled you took my challenge. We love to travel too. And, do you know what? You’ve inspired me today! Just thinking about where we might go next has made my day.
Thanks for stopping by,
Theresa
Okay, I took your challenge to visit your archives and take an action and I didnt have to look far. I have been using my primary personal email for everything and what a mess my inbox is…. From now on, only real personal emails will be in that box and everything else will end up in my newly formed gmail account. Wish I thought of something so obvious earlier! Imagine opening up my email every day and not having to wade through all the – sorry – crap… Now the process of redirecting current mail away from my primary email to my new gmail address. Anyone have any suggestions?
Janet, you are going to love this! You will no longer have to see those junk emails every day as you look at those emails you really want to get. I know I love it. I’ve even assigned different message alerts on my smart phone for each email account. Of course I gave the junk mail a rather obnoxious mail alert tone! And, my main (favorite) emails? They have a lovely pleasant chime.
As to redirecting that junk…you can generally “manage” your email subscription at the very bottom of each email. You can opt-out completely, or change your email address. Sometimes you can choose how often you receive those emails — for example you can receive them daily or get a weekly digest. With some email you have only one choice — which is to cancel your subscription. So you will need to opt-in again with your new gmail account.
Here’s another tip: You can set up a new folder in your email program (I use mac mail — but this works in outlook too) and you can temporarily put the junk mail in there. This is a folder you create…you can call it “email I need to manage”, or something. By doing this you will not accidentally opt out of something and forget to re-opt in later and also, you do not have to deal with each email as it comes in. Just move it to your new folder until you’re ready to deal with it. Make sense?
Thanks for taking the challenge! Hey, and I just noticed you already set up your new gmail account. Way to go!

Got to read your post ‘Is Your Ego So Big You Get In Your Own Way?’
I’m interested in what ego wants for itself.
As a client i don’t want an entrepreneur who has a big ego if it equates to taking it all without taking care of the customer.
Hi “R”
That’s another great viewpoint… how having a big ego can affect your customer. It’s really nice that you looked at this from this point of view. Your comment is so timely… I was just writing a few days ago about how priceless it is to take a minute and “be your client”. You have to wonder how anyone who does not take care of the customer could stay in business at all. Yet some do.
Thanks so much for taking the challenge, and it is wonderful to hear from you!

Theresa, I didn’t have to look far into your archives either to find a post that caught my attention. Today I am working on having a deep, subconscious belief in my worth. This will be good. Thanks for this focus. Great idea delving into your archives.

WOW! I took your challenge and now I have a bigger challenge to read all of the interesting articles with my limited time! I naturally gravitated to “investing” and “books and reviews” also “business psychology”. Love your money rules…I believe in money rules so much that I am writing a complete book on very detailed questions one can ask themselves to determine their money rules! You will be seeing me snooping around here a lot more!
Judi! It’s awesome to have you visit my site! I barely scratched the money rules surface with that post. So, let me know when you’re ready because I have a compilation of money rules from years of masterminding, and from years of personal experience too. Lots of input from lots of folks. Can’t wait to see your book.
Thanks for visiting… snoop to your hearts content! And let me know if I can support you in any way~

Theresa: I took your challenge to and something pointed me in the direction of “Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” What a great post. I thought it was extremely motivational and inspirational and couldn’t agree more, that you really do have to go after what you really want. It is so easy to fall into the trap where your own limiting beliefs can hold you back, but as you suggested, you have to just begin it and take one step at a time until it unfolds. Thanks for the inspiration this morning.
Hi Sibyl! Thanks for your comment. How cool that you were drawn to this particular post. I really this love quote — it says so much! And, I’m glad you were inspired by it. We set so much in motion when we begin something … as Goethe says, “unforeseen accidents, meetings and material assistance that no one could have dreamed would come their way”. It is inspiring!
Thanks for coming by,
Theresa
My husband, also an attorney, is a Michigan grad…Go Blue!
Ok…this post had me LMAO.
“Starting a New Business or Venture? Forget About the Bozo Behind You!”
It soooooooooo true!
I had to RT it.
My dad taught me to drive when I was 10. I remember even after I drove over the front lawn into the backyard, he just told me ever so calmly…to push on the brake harder.
