If You Expect Something to Happen, You’ll Get There Fast

Today I’m at a conference with over 200 entrepreneurs. This is a  group that when asked, “How many of you have your own businesses?”, about 200 people raised their hands. Impressive. In case you didn’t notice, that’s everyone in the room.

As I meet and talk to all of these entrepreneurs one thing is apparent. Almost all of them started with an idea. These are not inherited businesses from daddy and mommy. These businesses came entirely from the minds of these entrepreneurs and were backed by dreams and goals.

And this leads me to what I wanted to touch on today. People that have ideas and expect things to happen, get there fast. If they were told it couldn’t be done… they didn’t listen. They chose to create something, they trusted their idea and they started their companies. They flat out believed it was possible.

If 200 widely diverse people can take completely unrelated ideas and transform them into reality, don’t you think you can do it too?

What’s your idea? Crazy or not. It’s your turn. What have you really wanted to do that, until now, was just an idea in your mind?
