Here’s a quote I heard the other day –
“Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.”
It’s an interesting line that falls somewhat short of being helpful.
So then, it’s OK to sit around planning and preparing and waiting for that big old opportunity to find you?
Where would we be today if every great inventor, scientist, industrialist, philanthropist and discoverer in all of history remained sitting at their desks and drawing tables preparing for that big opportunity someone was going to give them rather than creating and realizing their own dreams and visions?
Here’s a thought:
“More men fail through lack of purpose than lack of talent” — Billy Sunday
Here’s the difference. Purpose means action. Preparation and lack of talent are secondary.
That’s all.
What do you think?
