Entrepreneurs, here is a great tip for turning business trips into something unique and memorable. We travel frequently for business to new places. When possible, we add a couple extra days to our trip so that we can explore these new cities and towns.
During the conference or meetings we stay at the hotel where the event is held.
Highly recommended for networking — you do not want to stay off site at a networking event. Evenings, dinners, and breaks are where the best networking occurs!
But, this makes it difficult to explore off site.
After the event, we like to leave the hotel and find a rental that is unique by utilizing Vacation Rentals by Owner (vrbo).
These are vacation rentals, or second homes, offered by owners directly rather than through large property management companies. We are often surprised at how many entrepreneurs do not know about this great site!
Through this service we have rented a casita in Santa Fe, a villa in Mexico, a pre-war apartment in the upper West side of Manhattan, and a condo in Costa Rica, to name a few.
